Right of Withdrawal

This notice follows the statutory model instructions (Anlage 1 to Art. 246a § 1 (2) EGBGB). It applies to you if you are a consumer, meaning a natural person entering into the contract for purposes outside your trade, business or profession.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier indicated by you, acquired physical possession of the goods. Where an order covers several goods delivered separately, the period runs from the day on which you acquired possession of the last item.

by means of a clear statement (for example a letter sent by post or an email) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the model withdrawal form below, or our online withdrawal function, but this is not obligatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw.

We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or until you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earlier.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.

You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Does the right of withdrawal apply to our products?

Yes — in full. Our items are produced individually after you order them, but you select them from a fixed catalogue of designs and options that we offer to everyone. Under settled case law that is not a good “made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised” within the meaning of § 312g (2) no. 1 BGB, so the exemption does not apply and your full statutory right of withdrawal stands.

The exemption would only become relevant if we were to offer goods carrying content you supply yourself, such as your own photograph or your own text. We do not currently offer such products. If we ever do, you will be told clearly on the product page before you order.

Statutory warranty

Your statutory rights in respect of defective goods (§§ 434 ff. BGB) apply in addition to and independently of the right of withdrawal, and are not limited by this notice.
